The annual Lantz Bricker Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Salem High School graduate Kamryn Rohm during alumni soccer games held this past summer. She is attending John Carroll University, studying pre-med with a long-term plan of becoming an optometrist. She excelled in the classroom and in soccer, basketball, track and field and cross country. Bricker was a 1999 Salem High School graduate and varsity athlete, participating in soccer, baseball and football. After losing him in an accident on Jan 31, 2006, friends and family established a scholarship memorializing the kind of person and athlete he was while helping young athletes entering the next stage of their lives. The family gave thanks to cornhole coordinators Mike DeBarr, Chad Copacia, Kenny Donnelly and Matt Wolf. Special thanks went to Frank and Molly Copacia, who hosted the event for many years and to those supporting the scholarship.
