The Salem High School Alumni Association will celebrate "Giving Tuesday" on Nov. 28 with an opportunity for donors to be entered into a Quaker Sam raffle. "Giving Tuesday" unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. First launched in 2012, the campaign is a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good and to donate to positive causes. This event has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. SHSAA is encouraging alumni and friends to donate to its scholarship fund. Donations of $5 or more will be entered into a raffle to win a metal Quaker Sam flag donated by Donald Farmer, SHS Class of 1975. All donations will be entered into the raffle that will be held on Friday, Dec. 1. (Submitted photo)
