“We’ve seen some real growth and expansion within the area, and with the development of Millennial Lane, it gave us an opportunity to expand our care beyond the hospital walls,” said Salem Regional Medical Center Corporate Executive Officer Doctor Anita Hackstedde.

The new facility located at 5002 Millennial Lane near the intersection of state Route 224 and Palmyra Road, will house both SRMC Primary Care Canfield, and the ARC Advanced Radiology Center and provide the Canfield community with both comprehensive primary care and diagnostic services beginning Monday.

SRMC Primary Care-Canfield will offer full primary care services to patients of any age, including preventative and wellness care, sick visits and chronic disease management provided by Doctor Joseph Miladore, and Family Nurse Practitioner Kyle Marshall, both of whom are accepting new patients and can take appointments at both the Canfield and Salem Primary Care locations. Hackstedde said that Marshall is a Canfield native, and that Miladore specializes in providing women’s healthcare for all ages.

The ARC Advanced Radiology Center will provide onsite diagnostic services including CT scans, 3D mammograms and digital X-rays, and will have walk-in availability for mammograms and X-rays. The center will be overseen by Medical Director Peter Apicella, who also serves as the Chief Radiologist for the SRMC Department of Medical Imaging. Hackstedde said that the SRMC is “known for providing quality imaging services,” and that part of the reason Canfield was chosen as the location of the facility was to “begin offering that standard of care to the community and reduce the distance they have to travel for imaging services.”

SRMC Primary Care-Canfield will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; while the ARC Advanced Radiology Center will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with walk-in availability for mammograms and X-rays during regular office hours.
