LISBON -- The Lisbon Police Department arrested a man Friday night they had considered "armed and dangerous" after he made homicidal threats to a woman and "took off" from the Counseling Center of Columbiana County Thursday afternoon, according to Chief Mike Abraham.
Timothy Adkins, 47, no known address, was found and arrested on two warrants -- for charges of aggravated menacing and inducing panics. Adkins was not found with a weapon in his possession when he was arrested, Abraham said.
The department received a tip from callers at a residence in the 10400 block of Stookesberry Road in Lisbon that Adkins was on their porch Friday night. He was arrested at 8:16 p.m. Lisbon police officers were assisted by the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office in making the arrest.
In a Facebook post shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday night, the Lisbon Police Department said Adkins was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue-colored shirt. It was believed that Adkins was on state Route 154 heading towards East Liverpool, Detective Neil Clark said.
Adkins has a lengthy criminal history, according to Clark.
