Work continues on the Lincoln Plaza Project at the corner of East State Street and South Lincoln Avenue in Salem, with the gazebo's distinct roof taking shape Friday through the work of Lisbon-based Fairwood Forest. Designed to be the plaza's centerpiece by Architect Bob Mastriana, the gazebo features a unique bell-shaped roof and victorian arcs in a style similar to the iconic gazebo at Mill Creek Park. Mastriana has previosuly said that the gazebo was designed to be fully compliant with the Americans with Disability Act, and that its open design would make it an ideal setting for concerts and public ceremonies.
