EAST PALESTINE -- A two-motorcycle crash on state route 165 at Brushville Road Sunday afternoon resulted in serious injuries for the drivers.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol Lisbon Post is investigating the crash in which Caleb Reynolds, 20, East Palestine, was driving west and attempted to turn left when Pierson Wolfe, 18, East Palestine, attempted to pass on the left, colliding with Reynold's motorcycle in the intersection at approximately 3:45 p.m. The motorcyclists were riding in a group and no other motorcycles or vehicles were involved.
Both motorcyclists were transported to Mercy Health in Youngstown. Both were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Assisting agencies at the scene were East Palestine Fire/EMS and the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
The high patrol is reminding all motorcyclists to wear a helmet and use caution while traveling on the roadways.
