Blasdel returns to state House
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel (R-Columbiana) took the oath of office Monday for her second term as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 79th House District, which encompasses the majority of Columbiana County and all of Carroll County.
“I thank my constituents for trusting me to continue to be a strong voice for the 79th House District,” said Blasdel. “I look forward to continuing to work on impactful legislation to make Ohio a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
During her first term in the Ohio House, Blasdel successfully passed multiple pieces of legislation – ranging from updating the SORN law, enacting an advanced school safety protocol, reducing harmful lead lines in residential homes, creating the Ohio River Commission, and naming the Sheriff Dale R. Williams Memorial Highway, among others.
Blasdel is a lifelong resident of Columbiana County. She and her husband, Chuck Blasdel, reside in Columbiana with their two daughters, Presley and Raegan.
Blasdel was sworn in during this week’s session, which marked the beginning of the 136th General Assembly.
