Breakfast planned

The Salem VFW Post 892 Auxiliary, 496 Arch St., is hosting breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16. Haystacks and traditional breakfasts will be available for $8 each. Dine-in or carry out. Proceeds this month benefit Salem High School girls softball team.

Spaghetti Dinner on tap

The Homeworth Community Group is hosting a spaghetti dinner with Petrucci’s family sauce to raise funds for Steve Toohey, founder of Operation Flags of Freedom. The dinner will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Sebring Legion, 385 California Ave. Sebring. Tickets are $12 at the door or call Loren Shaver at 330-428-0328. Carryout available. Country singer Ricky Lee will perform from 4 to 6 p.m. The dinner will include spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, bread and dessert. There will also be raffles with over 60 baskets/items, a 50/50 drawing and a live auction.

Audubon Society to meet

The Audubon Society/Mahoning Valley will meet Feb. 25 at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive, Austintown. Social time starts at 6:30 p.m., with the program starting at 7 p.m. The monthly program will be Fifty State Birds…And More presented by Ray Novotny, Mill Creek MetroParks’ Naturalist Emeritus, who will combine his fondness for the feathered friends, maps and dates. Open to all, member or not.
