GOSHEN TOWNSHIP (WKBN) – It took firefighters from half a dozen departments to bring a stubborn brush fire under control in western Mahoning County.

Crews took the first call around 4:45 p.m. Monday at the Martig Farm on state Route 534 in Goshen Township.

The fire ignited in a brush pile and quickly spread to some nearby tires, threatening a building on the property.

Firefighters were able to douse the flames, and no one was hurt.
