COLUMBIANA — A sheriff’s sale appears to be imminent for a Fairfield Township business, after failing to meet some key deadlines to pay its creditors.
According to a May filing in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, Pidgeon Envelope LLC, parent company for Envelope One, owes Nubridge Commercial Lending LLC in excess of $4.4 million.
Despite Judge Megan Bickerton’s earlier ruling in the case, Pidgeon Envelope LLC still has failed to pay the principal of $4,080,382.46 plus 14.99 percent interest that had been due immediately.
A 90-day extension had been granted for Pidgeon to do this but is lapsing this month.
A phone call to a media spokeswoman at Pidgeon Envelope LLC Wednesday has not been returned for comment.
Employees also have alleged to news partner WKBN that they are having trouble getting paychecks and their health benefits may have been impacted.
Pidgeon Envelope LLC also owes $18,136.81 in back taxes on its state Route 344 premises, which is at risk of foreclosure for their inability to pay Nubridge or its other creditors.
