Annual Glamorgan Castle Jeep Show on tap

ALLIANCE — The annual Glamorgan Castle Jeep Show and Duck Race will be held on Sunday, Sept. 14 from noon to 4 p.m. at Glamorgan Castle.

Jeep owners, all models welcome, and invited to park their vehicle on the Castle lawn for an afternoon of fun. Non-Jeep drivers should park in the surrounding parking lots and also enjoy the music and food vendors as well as participate in the duck race.

A $25 entry fee for Jeep owners includes a tour of the Castle for two people and the chance for your vehicle to win a trophy. The first 50 show registrants will also receive a custom-made Castle duck. There will also be various items, including photos, for purchase.

The duck race will take place in the north pond and will start at 3 p.m. Any attendee can adopt a duck for $5. Five ducks – a quack pack – is available for $20. Cash prizes for the race will include $200 for first place, $100 for second place, and $50 for third place.

Tickets to obtain ducks are available during tours of the castle, from Castle Crusaders, online at glamorgancastle.org, and at the Castle grounds prior to the race.

All proceeds benefit Glamorgan Castle.

Special guests at the event will include “Sir Quacks A Lot” and “Lady Waddles.”
