Keepsake 2026 calendars available at the Salem Historical Society
The Salem Historical Society has published a 2026 calendar in honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary. Guided by “America 250-Ohio” monthly themes, each month highlights a unique contribution Salem made in areas such as industry, entertainment, transportation, arts, outdoors, gatherings, fairs, sports, farms, and first responders.
Rather than focusing only on the most familiar stories, organizers are showcasing some of the lesser-known but equally meaningful chapters of the community’s past — each one a reminder that every contribution, great or small, is worth remembering.
At the request of the Historical Society board, the 2026 calendar has been produced as a high-quality keepsake, designed to become a collector’s item for this special semiquincentennial year. Due to advancements in technology that has reduced annual calendar sales, the board has voted to make it the last published calendar.
As an added feature, a free downloadable coloring book page corresponding to each month will be posted throughout 2026 on the The Salem Historical Society’s website for children of all ages. The complete coloring book will be available at the start of the year for purchase at the Gift Shop. The 2026 calendars are now available at the Salem Historical Society’s gift shop or at offices at a cost of $30 including tax. The Salem Historical Society is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. Enter the museum at 239 South Lundy Ave.
The calendar can be ordered through postal mail at a cost of $35 to cover the postage. Call 330-337-8514 or use the contact form on The Salem Historical Society’s our website “https://salemhistoricalsociety.org/contact-us”.
Payments can be submitted through a PayPal button at the bottom of the website’s home page, or send a check to 208 South Broadway Ave, Salem, OH 44460.
