Two new vinyl garage doors were installed at the Humane Society’s outbuilding Thursday courtesy of Wayne Door. Humane Society Maintenance Manager Matt Ramey said that the building’s old wooden garage doors were had structural and window damage which required frequent repairs propmting him to contact Matt Stutzman, an inside salesman at Wayne Door, who he said helped him “get the ball rolling” on a potential donation. Ramey and Wayne Door Marketing Director Jessica Smith said that Wayne door was donating the two Hass garage doors, which Smith said are made locally in Ohio, and the installation and framing services with the Humane Society only covering the costs of labor for $500.
“We’re excited to be part of this and we’re glad to be here. We were very excited when [Ramey] called us,” said Smith.
Smith said that Wayne Door is committed to supporting the communities they serve whether that be through monetary or material donations, or through offering their time and labor and that every person in the company shared that commitment. She also said that while the company’s headquarters is now in Sugar Creek, that owner Bob Habeger grew up in Youngstown where the company still maintains an office. He made serving the community one of Wayne Door’s core values.
In addition to installing the new doors, Wayne Door also renovated the door frames to ensure a perfect fit, which Smith said was reflective of the company’s commitment to ensuring a perfect fit for every customer and that the owner is familiar with every feature of their new door system.

“Our technicians carry every possible piece and part necessary to ensure a perfect and smooth installation the first time, every time and that commitment goes beyond the initial install or service call. Everyone in our company is committed to ensuring the best for our customers and our community,” said Smith.
Humane Society volunteer and moard member Doris Buzzard said that while the outbuilding is primarily used for storage currently eventually the Humane Society would like to use the building as a training and holding space during winter. Buzzard said that the Humane Society was already working on painting the building and that it would still need to complete work on the windows and roof.
