Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Gallery of Art to feature wood sculptures

SALEM — The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Gallery of Art will be closing out 2025 with two solo exhibitions, according to a press release.

Wood sculptor Bob Viencik will open the season with “Wooden Sculpture,” with a public reception on Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The display will feature “intricate forms that honor the natural spirit of the material,” and will remain on display through Nov 12.

Following Viencik will be an exhibition by photographer Lisa Frederick which explores “light, emotion, and narrative through the lens,” which will debut on Nov. 14, and remain on display through Dec. 10. There will also be “a free photography workshop with Frederick” on Nov. 15. RSVP for the workshop will be required, and more information will be available soon.

The annual photography contest will follow in the new year from Jan. 6 through 23, and the Valentine’s Raffle will be held from Jan. 5 through Feb. 9 with prizes including dinner for two “in one of downtown Salem’s fine dining establishments,” a bouquet of flowers, and a box of chocolate candy from Heggy’s Confectionery.

The 2026 General Calendar will be available at the gallery and online Friday. For more information, contact Jennifer Adams by phone at 330-415-2503, by email at salemohshowcase@gmail.com or follow @ChamberGalleryofArt on social media.
