Vietnam Marine veteran, Roger Bacon, enjoyed a Veterans Day breakfast at Columbiana Joshua Dixon Elementary with his great-grandchildren Piper, Hudson, and Finn Yenges. Bacon served in the Vietnam War as a part of the 3rd Marine Division from 1967-1968 where he was awarded three Purple Hearts. A lifelong Marine, he now devotes much of his free time serving on the Board of Directors for the Columbiana County Veteran Affairs and as an active member on the Board of Directors at the Lisbon VFW. The United States Marine Corps celebrated its 250th anniversary last Monday.(Submitted photo)
