NEW WATERFORD – State Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) will be seeking reelection in the May Primary.
Robb Blasdel officially filed her petitions at the Columbiana County Board of Elections Tuesday to seek reelection to the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 79th District. Currently serving her second term, she represents the residents of Columbiana and Carroll counties.
The Ohio Primary Election is scheduled for May 5.
In a press release announcing her intention, Robb Blasdel said since she has taken office she has focused on a conservative platform built on economic growth, fiscal responsibility and local empowerment.
She currently serves as Chair of the House Natural Resources Committee; Energy Committee; Transportation Committee; Arts, Athletics, and Tourism Committee; and Redistricting Committee. She also serves as a Board Member of the OneOhio Recovery Foundation, is Co-Chair of the Ohio Legislative Behavioral Health Caucus, and an active member of the Rural Hospital Caucus, the Appalachian Caucus, the MAHA Caucus, and the Lake to River Caucus.
“It has been the honor of my life to serve the people of the 79th District,” Robb Blasdel said. “I am running for reelection to ensure that our corner of Ohio continues to have a strong, common-sense voice in the Statehouse — one that prioritizes small businesses, supports hard-working families and our schools, and protects our rural way of life. My focus remains exactly where it started: on the hardworking men and women of Columbiana and Carroll counties. I look forward to continuing this journey and earning the support of my neighbors once again.”
Robb Blasdel said she is committed to being a transparent and accessible voice for her constituents and encouraged residents to reach out to her office with feedback or concerns regarding state-level issues.
