SALEM — Dr. Morgan Shivers and the dedicated dental team of Jaime McDevitt, EFDA; Laci Stratton, EFDA; Mandy Fisher, Dental Assistant; Saida Christensen, RDH volunteered their time and expertise at Buckeye Elementary Feb. 4 for a “Give Kids a Smile” event. They were also joined by special guest Farley the Flossisaurus, who helped make the experience friendly and memorable.

The event was intended to promote healthy habits and positive dental experiences for students with oral exams, toothbrush cleanings, fluoride treatments, age-appropriate oral hygiene instructions, and one-on-one time with students, discussing why daily brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits matter.

Each student received toothbrushes, toothpaste, and coloring activities reinforcing the importance of good dental habits. Shivers has practiced dentistry in Salem for nearly eight years, and she and her team plan to continue hosting outreach and educational events in the future.

Shivers practices alongside Dr. Yerkey and Dr. Madjarac at 2951 state Route 45 and can be contacted by phone at 330-332-5377.

Starting at $2.99/week.
