Driver indicted for crash that killed expectant mother

LISBON — A 20-year-old man identified as the driver when his pregnant girlfriend was run over and died last year in East Liverpool is facing felony charges for allegedly causing her death and the unlawful termination of her pregnancy.

Cameron Martin, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, was served Saturday with a secret indictment for two counts of involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony, and two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, a third-degree felony. The victim was identified as Stephanie Householder.

According to the indictment, the incident occurred July 19, 2025 when he caused the death and pregnancy termination by committing or attempting to commit felonious assault and/or aggravated vehicular assault and did so while operating a motor vehicle.

Householder, 21, of Lisbon, and her unborn child died July 20, 2025 from injuries sustained in the pedestrian/motor vehicle accident.

In a previous published report, East Liverpool Police Chief John Lane said the couple was having an argument when Householder exited the vehicle and was then allegedly run over by Martin at the Wharf. According to Lane, at the time Martin gave his statement, it didn’t appear that he meant to run her over.

Martin’s bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety. He’s scheduled to face arraignment on Feb. 26 in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
