Crestview robotics team qualifies for world event

COLUMBIANA — Of the three Crestview Middle School Robotics teams to compete at the state competition in March one is going on to compete in the world competition in late April.

Crestview Middle School Principal Tim Pancake told the board of education during the March meeting that all three teams finished inside the top 20 at the Ohio VEX Robotics competition in Dayton.

“One team earned the excellence award, which is the highest possible award to achieve. This award made them a World Qualifier,” he said.

The VEX Robotics World Competition will take place at the end of April in St. Louis, Missouri.

High School Principal Caleb Crowl reported to the board that one high school team competed at the state tournament.
