2026 Lisbon Alumni HOF to induct five new members
LISBON – The 2026 Lisbon Alumni Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Ceremony will take place April 18 at the Guilford Lake Event Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. Ceremony to follow.
Tickets are $30 each. RSVP in person at Almost Perfect in Lisbon or mail ticket order to The Lisbon Alumni Association, PO Box 421 Lisbon, OH 44432. Make checks payable to The Lisbon Alumni Association.
Charcuterie board during social time sponsored by the Class of 1974. Dinner catered by Pondi’s will consist of garden salad, chicken franchise, beef tips with onions and mushrooms, herb roasted potatoes, grilled mixed vegetables and rolls. Dessert is sponsored by the Class of 1967.
There will be a cash bar.
The 2026 Honored Classes are 1958, 1974, 1977, 1991 and 2004.
William “Bill”
Murray Minton
Minton graduated from David Anderson High School in 1958. He was active in school in excelling in sports, especially football. After a fairly serious injury his junior year, he played his senior year and was recognized to obtain a football scholarship to Wittenberg University. He got injured his sophomore year and lost his scholarship. He then transferred to Youngstown State University and after graduation he joined the Peace Corps and spent the next two years serving in the St Lucia Peace Corps. After returning home,he went to the University of Maryland and received his master’s degree in education. He began teaching in Virginia at Wakefield High School. He taught history and government as well as coached football and tennis. He loved teaching and taught for more than 30 years. The testimonies of friends, students and family are so numerous and vibrant in how he affected people’s lives with love and appreciation. He was more than a friend. He was a mentor for life.
Jacob Wycoff
Wycoff graduated from Lisbon David Anderson High School in 2004.
Jacob now lives in Massachusetts, where he serves as a broadcast meteorologist for WBZ- TV (CBS in Boston). In addition to forecasting New England’s weather, he produces and reports stories that highlight science, environmental innovation and community impact. His award-winning features have aired nationwide on the CBS evening news blending storytelling, education and public service.
In 2021 Wycoff returned home to Lisbon as the DAHS commencement speaker delivering an inspiring message to graduates about resilience and purpose. He reminded them…”You are the only person in existence who can use your potential… How powerful is that?”
A sentiment that captures how he continues to live his own life and how he encourage others.
Wycoff has remained deeply committed to science and education. He serves on the board of the National STEM Festival, helping connect students from across the country with opportunities in science and technology.
He has emceed major charity events for organizations including,The National Hemophilia Foundation, the Aaron Zenus Foundation (supporting young adults with intellectual disabilities),and the Hockomoch Valley YMCA.Jacob also actively volunteers with the Milford Youth Center and the Disabled American Veterans Department of Massachusetts.
Over the past decade he has visited more than 60 schools each year, reaching over 27,000 students with his message,”that science is for every one!”
Wycoff joined WBZ full-time in 2020 and has become a trusted and respected journalist in New England. His stories often explore how science and human spirit intersect;showcasing innovation, perseverance and kindness.
He and his wife are raising two young children and he often credits his family as his greatest source of inspiration and purpose. His success in broadcasting is matched only by his generosity of spirit. He remains deeply proud of his Lisbon roots and continues to carry the lessons of his hometown into every classroom, studio and community that he serves.
Teresa Jayne Reynolds Kelechi
Kelechi graduated from Lisbon David Anderson High School in 1977.
She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kent State University. She earned her Master of Science Gerontological from Case Western University, as well as her Doctor of Philosophy Nursing from the University of South Carolina/Medical University of South Carolina. She has received numerous academic honors and awards ranging from excellence, research, leadership, and teaching to name a few. Among the numerous honors, she also was named 2004 United States Professor of the year for South Carolina, The Carnegie Foundation for the advancement of teaching, The Council for advancement in support of education, as well as 2007 Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse of the Year- Southeast Region Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Society, and so many more honors.
Kelechi has served over the years in many administrative roles, ranging from Directors, to Endowed Chair, Department Chair and most recent Associated Dean, for Research and PhD Studies, College of Nursing MUSC. She is currently a Professor With Tenure College of Nursing Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston (MUSC).
Kelechi’s accomplishments set a standard of excellence that few can match. Throughout her time at DAHS she consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, determination and talent excelling, not only academically but also in athletics, extracurricular activities and community involvement. Those accomplishments did not stop in high school. Her achievements reflect years of hard work and unwavering commitment to bettering both herself and the school community. She has become a role model for current and future students and her legacy of achievement is remarkable.
Richard M Estell
Estell graduated from David Anderson High School in 1974.
After graduating, he earned his bachelor of fine arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art and his Master of Fine Art from Cornell University. He also studied at the School of Art Institute of Chicago and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.
Estell has had one person shows at Ruth Siegel Gallery in New York, the Butler Institute of American Art, Swarthimore College, Claramont Galleria in New York, F.A.N. Gallery in Philadelphia, Charles Chamot Gallery of New Jersey, Saint Joseph’s University Philadelphia, David Findlay Galleries in New York and Cerulian Arts in Philadelphia.
His work is in public and private collections, and has been included in group exhibitions in galleries, museums and colleges all throughout the United States.
Estell’s teaching experience includes Cornell University, Drexel University, Swarthmore College, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, The University of Pennsylvania and the Community College of Philadelphia. His paintings have been featured in a number of publications, including Art and Antiques, The Philadelphia Inquire and The American Artist. His work has been on the cover of Epoch Magazine and the subject of a profile on the Financial News Network. He currently teaches watercolor in the Continuing Education program at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
William H “Bud” Bucey
Bucey graduated from David Anderson High School in 1991. He was the 1991 Valedictorian.
Bucey is a retired Navy Captain with over 28 years of active duty service as an SH-60B/R helicopter pilot, earning his “Wings of Gold” in 1997. He has a B.S. in General Engineering from the US Naval academy in 1995.
A M.S. in Operations Management/ Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in 2003 and a M.A in National Security and Strategic studies from the US Naval War College in 2006.
Bucey’s operational assignments at sea include flying tours on both coasts with HSL – 40, HSL – 48, HSL – 42 HSM – 41. He also served as Flag Aide to Commander, Carrier Strike Group TWO and Navigator aboard USS Ronald Reagan. He also served as the first commanding Officer of the H.S.M-78 Bluehawks from 2010-2013. He was sequentially selected for Major Command.
He has also served in shore assignments that include the Bureau of Naval Personnel( enlisted aviator detailer), Joint Staff National Military Command Center (Nuclear Strike Advisor) at the Pentagon Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (Program manager for Carrier and Air integration) and U.S. Embassy Iraq ( Senior Military Advisor to the Iraq Ministry of Defense). His final active duty assignment was at Navy Region Southeast as the Program Director for Naval Security Forces Training and Assessments.
Bucey returned to the Navy Region Southeast staff in 2022 and has since served as the Director of Training and Readiness (N36). His responsibilities in this position include supervision of all 17 Navy Region Southeast installation training officers and exercise planning for both security and hurricane preparedness exercises.
Bucey lives in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife Micca and sons Will, Carson and Cooper.
