Crestview updates athletic facility rental fees

COLUMBIANA — The Crestview School District has updated it’s athletic facility use rental fees.

District Superintendent Dan Hill said the updates are minimal, however, and comparable to prior years.

The district has continued to upgrade the new athletic facility, with new batting cages added in the last several weeks.

Updated rental fees for all athletic facilities include the elementary and middle school gymnasiums, baseball and softball fields, and grass soccer game and practice fields.

Gymnasium rentals were set at $40 to $50 per hour respectively, with baseball and soccer field rentals at $100 per event, or $200 per day for the baseball and softball fields.

Fees were set at $600 per contest for use of the Rebel Stadium turf and $250 for practice.

Rental of the track only was set $50 per hour, with availability only after 7 p.m.

All athletic facility use must be approved by the Crestview Athletic Director and proof of insurance is required by outside groups for all rentals prior to the event date.

According to the legislation passed by the board of education, fee exceptions include no charge for any group of Crestview Local Schools’ alumni, students or non-profit community organizations, although they will need to pay any custodial costs, and any additional utility or employee fees charged by the district due to facility use.

Student groups must consist entirely of students that currently attend the Crestview Local School District to qualify for a fee exception, the legislation states.

As for seasonal use, a 50 percent per use cost discount may be applied for multiple rentals throughout a season.

Rentals for other facilities were set at $50 for all building cafeterias, and $25 per hour for libraries and classrooms.

Starting at $2.99/week.
