SALEM — The Salem Athletic Booster Club is preparing to host its annual golf outing June 6.

The annual fundraiser will be held on June 6 at the Salem Hills Golf Club and will have an entry fee of $400 for a team of four. Registration includes lunch provided by the Salem Computer Center, dinner by Mike’s Penn Ave Grille, proximity prizes, and monetary prizes totaling $1,800. The outing will also feature skins, mulligans, a 50/50 raffle, basket raffle, and more at an additional cost.

Registration is limited to the first 28 teams and can be completed online at www.salemathleticboosters.org under the ‘Golf Outing’ tab.

This year’s event will be dedicated to the memory of Salem City Schools Superintendent Sean Kirkland, who passed away on March 16. Kirkland was a perennial participant in the event and ran the annual outing for several years.

Check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m., and the outing gets underway at 1:30 p.m. with a shotgun start and lunch at the turn. Dinner and prizes will follow at 6 p.m. Like all Athletic Booster fundraisers, proceeds from the event will allow the boosters to help cover the cost of equipment, facility updates, trophies, end of the season banquets, jerseys, and supply the Quaker Sam Fund with financial resources for Salem’s athletes.

The athletic boosters are also seeking sponsors for the golf outing with several sponsorship levels available ranging from $100 to $1,000, each with its own benefits: $100 tee box sponsors will receive a Coroplast sign surrounding the tee box, displaying the business’s name as a hole sponsor; $250 bronze sponsors will be listed as a bronze sponsor on the outing signs, banners and program and inclusion in the bronze sponsorship ad at all home football games; $500 silver sponsors will be listed as such on the outing signs, banners and program and included in the silver sponsorship ad at all home football games, and be listed as a silver sponsor in the fall and winter sports programs; $1,000 gold sponsors will receive an individual multimedia ad at all home football games, and will be listed as such on the outing signs, banners and program, and be listed as a gold sponsor in the fall and winter sports programs.

Sponsors can register and pay online at www.salemathleticboosters.org under the “Golf Outing” tab. New sponsors, or returning sponsors that want to update their logo should email a copy to president@salemathleticboosters.org. All sponsorship forms should be submitted by May 22.
