Salem emergency crews rescue man trapped under tree
SALEM, (WKBN) — Crews from Salem police and fire departments rescued a man Monday who was trapped after a tree fell on him while he was operating a tractor.
Emergency crews were called to the 2400 block of Edgewood Drive shortly before noon on Monday for a medical call stating a tree had fallen and pinned a man on a tractor.
Salem fire Chief Scott Mason said it appeared the man was operating a tractor with a front-end loader to push a tree into a tree line when part of the tree snapped, pinning the man between the tree and the roll bar/seat area.
Mason said the man was taken to a trauma center with serious injuries, but is in stable condition.
