Perry Township trustees to meet Thursday
PERRY TOWNSHIP — The Perry Township trustees will meet in a special session Thursday morning.
The trustees will meet at 8 a.m. at the administration building at 2198 N. Ellsworth Ave. to review the second of two annual resolutions required to exclude the authorization of the city of Salem to utilize an alternate method of apportionment of Local Government Fund Monies for 2027, which would otherwise be required as it is the largest city in the county.
The trustees will also take the actions required to implement the township’s formal cybersecurity policy in accordance with Ohio House Bill 96 ahead of the June 30 deadline.
Additionally, trustee Tony Ieropoli confirmed that the trustees have canceled their next regular meeting and will not meet as originally scheduled on June 22.
Following the special meeting Thursday, the board of trustees will meet next at 4 p.m. on July 7.
