Trial remains set for man accused of running over pregnant girlfriend
LISBON — The jury trial for the man accused of causing the death of his pregnant girlfriend after allegedly running her over last year in East Liverpool remains set for Oct. 27.
Cameron Martin, 20, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, appeared for an interim status hearing in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court before Judge Megan Bickerton on Friday.
He was accompanied by his defense attorneys, Christine Falconer and Bruce Williams. The state was represented by county Assistant Prosecutors Steve Yacovone and Jennifer Bonish. Martin was also accompanied by a family member.
A contingent of family members of the victim, Stephanie Householder, were also in attendance, with some wearing shirts to honor her memory. The 21-year-old died July 20, 2025, along with her unborn child, from injuries suffered in the pedestrian/motor vehicle crash on July 19, 2025 at the East Liverpool wharf.
Yacovone said he didn’t believe there were any outstanding issues and the two sides were still in talks regarding any potential discovery issues.
Falconer said discussions were ongoing and she didn’t anticipate anything coming up.
The final status hearing remains set for 9 a.m. Oct. 19.
Martin remains out of jail after posting a $100,000 cash or surety bond in the spring.
He’s charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony, and two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, a third-degree felony, for allegedly causing Householder’s death and the alleged unlawful termination of her pregnancy.
