COLUMBIANA -- City officials are still working on the design for the new City Hall building.
During the July City Council meeting City Manager Lance Willard said they met with Strollo Architects and Howells and Baird Engineering to go over several revisions on the design.
"We hope to hear back from environmental planning and design soon so we can get the new zoning district proposal on its way," he said.
The city is moving its offices to the former #1 Cochran Chevrolet Cadillac dealership on East Railroad Street.
Currently, City Hall and city offices are located at 28 W. Friend St.
Willard said the updated plans will be shared in the coming weeks.
Willard also said during the meeting that the city is planning to host an official ribbon cutting ceremony at the Garden of Eatin' on Main Street around the annual Street Fair, which is scheduled for Sept. 10-12.
Willard also said that Firestone Yoga has requested use of the Garden of Eatin' for yoga classes on Saturday mornings through August.
Furthermore, in his report to council, Willard said that the Efficiency Smart program is offering an appliance recycling promotion through Sept. 30 through their program.
Efficiency Smart is paying $75 for refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and window units, he said.

In yet other matters, Willard praised everyone involved with the America 250 Celebration.
"Everything associated with that was great for Columbiana. We thank council member Ty Graham and Robert Quetot and the entire America 250 committee for all their hard work putting on exciting community events that brought people together as a community to celebrate America. There was truly something for everybody. The drone event was pretty cool I must say," Willard said.
He also thanked safety forces for their dedication in making the 250 event successful and safe.
"Leading up to that was many hours of planning and we appreciate that and everybody involved," he said.
Council member Dan Dattilio said during the meeting that he is hearing from a lot of people who are wondering when Park Avenue will be reopened to traffic.
Willard said the whole project should be wrapped up within 45 to 60 days of the original start date.
He said that while they considered reopening around the Fourth of July, after speaking with the safety forces it was determined that keeping the street closed was the best decision for now.
"We have some work to do definitely. We have some work to do on Beverly Drive this week and I don't have an exact date when we will be opening it back up," Willard said.
He also said the city has submitted an application to the Ohio Department of Transportation for funding through the Small Cities Program to be put toward work on Pittsburgh Street from Main Street all the way out to Duquesne Street in front of the Columbiana High School.
