Goshen Township trustees to meet for salt building repairs

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP -- The board of trustees will convene for a special meeting Thursday.

Trustee Teresa Stratton announced Monday that the board of trustees will meet at 10 a.m. at the Goshen Township Administration Building. The meeting is to discuss and take possible action regarding repairs to the township's salt storage building.

During the board of trustees' previous meeting July 14, Trustee John Bricker reported that the salt building's roof had been blown off during the severe storm on July 3 and the damage had been turned into the Ohio Township Association Risk Management Authority, a risk-sharing pool for Ohio townships which provides insurance to its members.

At that meeting Bricker said he'd been given an informal verbal estimate for the necessary repairs of $8,000 by the original builder of the salt building.
