Salem Kiwanis annual craft, vendor show set for Saturday
Salem Kiwanis Club is preparing to host its 61st annual antique craft and vendor show at Centennial Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 18. As always, the show will feature dozens of vendors, raffles, live music, and entertainment for children and entry is free of charge. SALEM — Salem Kiwanis Club will be hosting its 61st annual antique and craft and vendor show at Centennial Park on July 18.
This year’s show will be held from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. rain or shine and is set to feature more than 90 vendors offering various antiques and unique handmade items, and a basket raffle with approximately 50 baskets, and live music.
This year’s slate of live performances will include: Sassabrass, Ron Gray, Mike Webb, Chase Reiter, brothers Parker and Payden Belo, and Logan Bricker.
As always, admission for the show is free of charge, and parking for the show is available in the large lot off Park Avenue. Basket raffle tickets can be purchased for $1 each, six for $5, 15 for $10, 35 for $20 and so on.
This year’s event will also feature the new “Kiwanis Kids Corner” featuring plinko, face painting and temporary tattoos, snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy for children run by Key Club and Kiwanis members. There will also be a dunk tank sponsored by Dr. Michael Buchenic at a cost of $1 per throw, and “Kiwanis Katering” serving hot dogs, sloppy joe’s and Koney dogs for a donation.
Also new this year is a premium “Bourbon and Booze Wagon” raffle for an Igloo rolling cooler loaded with “premium bourbon and spirits” totaling more than $800 in value. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased for $20 each and can be purchased on the day of the event or can be purchased in advance at Print Works of Salem at 409 E. Second St during regular business hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The winning ticket will be drawn at 3 p.m., and raffle basket tickets will be drawn immediately after.
A limited number of spaces are still available, with walk-ins welcome on the day of the event as permitted by space requirements.
