LISBON -- Tracy Custer, St. Louis, Missouri, and Ariel Faith, Cincinnati, Ohio entertained fairgoers on Friday with performances of their Wonderdog Show.

The Cincinnati-based Wonderdog Show has a variety of dogs trained as frisbee dogs, agility dogs and trick dogs who give performances at fairs and festivals and other types of events.

Custer and Faith gave a demonstration of what the dogs could do, such as leaping and flipping to catch frisbees, run obstacle courses and perform tricks.

They gave a brief demonstration to the audience on how to train dogs to catch frisbees and then asked for two volunteers from the audience to come into the ring and throw frisbees for the dogs. Preslee Reynolds, 11, Salem, and Nora Stitt, 12, Mahoning County, were the selected volunteers, and they were given the opportunity to throw frisbees multiple times for the dogs to catch.

After the performance Custer and Faith each brought a dog to the edge of the performance ring to do a meet-and-pet for the children who wanted to interact with the dogs.
