Driver accused of fleeing pedestrian death faces felony charges

LISBON — The driver accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian and then fleeing the scene the evening of Feb. 4 on Bradshaw Avenue in East Liverpool is now facing felony charges, including aggravated vehicular homicide. Tracy C. Quimby, 34, Jackman Street, East Liverpool, was served Thursday with the secret indictment issued last month by the Columbiana County Grand Jury. Goshen Township trustees approve bids for salt storage building repairs

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP — The board of trustees approved two quotes for repairs to the township’s salt storage building in a special meeting Thursday. The trustees voted unanimously to approve an $8,600 quote from Wecover Building Systems for repairs to the roof of the township’s salt storage building, which was damaged during severe storms on July 3. Man sentenced for impaired driving has case remanded to trial court

LISBON — A man sentenced to prison last year for allegedly being impaired during a 2023 crash which seriously injured a woman is out of jail after an appeals court agreed his blood sample wasn’t refrigerated properly. Salem to partner with county to secure road salt supplier

SALEM — The city of Salem will be partnering with the county to secure its own supplier for road salt this year. City council voted unanimously Tuesday to authorize City Service Safety Director Joe Cappuzzello to purchase road salt by advertising for bids with the Columbiana County Engineer’s Office and entering a contract for the purchase rather than participating in the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT)’s annual contract.
