Health Partners survey residents
LISBON -- Columbiana County Health Partners begin its survey of Columbiana County residents on Friday as part of a community health assessment process. The Columbiana County Health Partners is working closely with the Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio and researchers at the University of Toledo to conduct the survey. Over the next two months 1,200 county residents will be randomly selected to participate in a health survey. County residents who are randomly selected are urged to complete and return the survey.
The anonymous survey asks participants to answer questions about general health, risk and protective health factors and access to health care. These answers will create a snapshot of the health of county residents. The results will guide many public and private agencies in their program planning over the next several years by identifying key health problems. The final community health assessment report will be published in the spring of 2019 at which time the results will be used to prioritize needs and create a community health improvement plan.
County residents interested in participating in the health assessment should contact the Columbiana County Health District directly.
Columbiana County Health Partners is composed of many public and private agencies that comprise the public health system. The partners include: Salem Regional Medical Center, East Liverpool City Hospital, Akron Children's Hospital -Mahoning Valley, Columbiana County Community Action Agency, East Liverpool City Health Department, Salem City Health Department, Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, Coordinated Action for School Health, Columbiana County Family First Council, Columbiana County Health District and Columbiana County Educational Service Center.
