Jonathan K. Wilson

Wilson graduates from Walsh with honors

Jonathan K. Wilson graduated from Walsh University in December 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Education Degree.

He finished magna cum laude with an overall 3.8 GPA. He will continue his studies in January 2021 at Walsh University and pursue a masters degree in Healthcare Management.

Wilson is a 2017 graduate of United Local High School and the son of Sarah Wilson and grandson of Kim and Gaye Wilson, all of Hanoverton.

Mercy College of Ohio announces Honors List

The following students were awarded honors for the Fall 2020 semester at Mercy College of Ohio. To be named on the dean’s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours. To be named on the honor’s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled for 6-11 credit hours. To be named on the president’s list, a student must achieve a 4.0 grade point average and be enrolled for 14 or more credit hours.

Geneva College announces fall dean’s list

BEAVER FALLS, Pa.– Geneva College announces the Dean’s List of undergraduate students for the fall 2020 semester. To be eligible for this recognition, students in traditional programs must earn a GPA of at least 3.6 while passing 12 credit hours or more.

Local students graduate from Aultman College

CANTON – Aultman College conferred degrees on Dec. 23, with graduates having the option to participate in a drive-in ceremony in the college parking lot.

The following local students are fall 2020 graduates from Aultman College:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program: Nicole Slys of Alliance (summa cum laude).

Associate of Science in Nursing: Mallory Hughes of Sebring.

Women Retirees of YSU offering scholarship

YOUNGSTOWN – The scholarship committee of the Women Retirees of Youngstown State University is accepting applications through March 1, 2021.

The scholarship is awarded to a full-time, junior female student who maintains a minimum 3.0 grade point average. The recipient must be a U.S. Citizen and be enrolled in a degree-seeking program.

Information about the scholarship is available atwww.ysu.edu/finaid/scholarships. Application forms may be printed from the website or picked up at the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship located on the second floor of Meshel Hall at YSU.
