Lucille Martin marking 100 years March 29

Lucille Martin of Salem will celebrate her 100th birthday March 29. Lucille was born in East Liverpool March 29, 1921, a daughter of George and Helen Holroyd and sister to Ralph “Bud” Holroyd, Sara Gurlea and Doris Primm. Lucille moved to Salem as a young girl and remained there for most of her life. She was married to Gene Martin in 1952 until he passed in 1982. She is the mother of Pam Martin of Alliance and Dee (Dennis) Bauman of Minerva and grandmother to Laura Bauman and Katie Bauman of Minerva. Lucille enjoys reading and visiting with family and friends. She gives credit to her Lord Jesus for her longevity. Due to Covid precautions, there will be no formal celebration but the family invites all former, current and new friends to surprise Lucille with a card, facebook message or video in honor of her special day.
