SRMC welcomes ear, nose, throat doctor to staff

SALEM - Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) welcomes Board Certified Otolaryngologist Gary Coleman, M.D., to its medical staff. On Nov. 1 Coleman will begin seeing patients at SRMC Ear, Nose and Throat, located in the Columbiana Medical Center at 750 E. Park Ave.

Coleman provides specialty care for adults and children with a variety of ear, nose and throat conditions, including allergies; dizziness and balance disorders; chronic ear infections; snoring; sinusitis; deviated septum; tinnitus (ringing in the ears); hearing loss; voice, swallowing and throat disorders; and head and neck masses. He also performs procedures such as; ear tube insertion; tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.

"Problems with the ears, nose or throat can drastically affect a person's comfort and everyday activities, from the ability to communicate clearly to getting a good night's rest," Coleman said. "I look forward to working with my patients to develop treatment plans to help improve their conditions and restore their quality of life."

Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), Coleman earned his Bachelor's and Medical degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He went on to complete his Otolaryngology Residency training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit.

Prior to joining SRMC's Medical Staff, Dr. Coleman served as an otolaryngologist in Toledo for the past 27 years.

Coleman is a member of the AAO-HNS and the American Medical Association. He has published and presented his research nationally, receiving awards from the Association for Research in Otolaryngology and the American Neurotology Society.
