Fundraiser for community park

A spaghetti supper fundraiser will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 29 at the Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church, 4306 Homeworth Road, to benefit the Homeworth Community Playground. The dinner is drive up carry out only for a donation. The meal includes spaghetti and meatballs, bread, salad and dessert.

Port Authority special meeting

The Columbiana County Port Authority will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday by telephone conference call for the approval of two notices of award for the Maritime Assistance Program Grant. No other action will be taken. Anyone wishing to attend the meeting must call the port authority office at 330-424-1800 x2 by noon Monday to request call-in instructions

Stress support group in EP

For those who would like more information about dealing with stress, a Stress Management Support Group will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday from April 18 through June 20 at the East Palestine First United Presbyterian Church, 109 Rebecca St. Clinician Vicki Ritterspach, LPCC, and Paige Fortner plan to to create a safe space for residents of East Palestine to explore the stress they're feeling and provide practical tools to move forward with a little more peace each day. These meetings are open to the public and are offered free of charge by the Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, through an Emergency Response Grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Lisbon Banquet set for April 24

Trinity Friends Church will host the Lisbon Banquet from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 24 at New Lisbon Presbyterian Church. The menu will include fried chicken, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, green beans, assorted desserts and beverages. Dine in only; take out available after 6 p.m.

Salem AMVETS meetings slated

Salem AMVETS will hold a trustees meeting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday followed by an executive meeting at 11 a.m. and membership meeting at noon. The meeting will include nomination of new officers.

Meals on Wheels dinner

The Columbiana Meals on Wheels will host a drive thru Spaghetti Dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or sold out April 15 at Pavilion #4 (Duck Pond) in Firestone Park. The meal includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and cookie for $10. The Columbiana Meals on Wheels is a 501C3-non-profit, self-funded program that relies on donations to support its mission.

Homework help in Columbiana

The Columbiana Public Library is offering free tutoring and homework help for students in grades kindergarten through 12 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Call the library to set up an appointment or sign up on the library website.
