Students named to SNHU Dean's List
MANCHESTER, N.H. -- The following local students have been named to the Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU)'s Winter 2023 Dean's List. The winter terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Local students earn President's List

Area students inducted into honor society
BATON ROUGE, La. -- The following local students recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. They are among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify.

Phillips among Thiel College graduates
GREENVILLE, Pa. - Hayley B. Phillips was among the students awarded diplomas during Thiel College's 149th commencement exercises held May 7.
Phillips, of Lisbon, earned a B.A. and majored in Business Administration. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. Seventy-nine students graduated with Latin honors, highlighted by 42 students who graduated summa cum laude, which are the highest Latin honors dedicated for students who graduate with a grade point average above 3.8. Sixteen students had a GPA between 3.6 and 3.79 to earn magna cum laude, and 21 students were awarded cum laude status with a grade point average of 3.4 to 3.59.
