LISBON - Along with the Summer Reading Program, Lepper Library in Lisbon will present two Story Strolls. In June, the first story features "Planting a Rainbow," by Lois Ehlert. Follow the progress of a mother and daughter in their back yard as they plant bulbs and seedlings and nurture their growth as they grow into flowers.
In July, the second story features "The Little Red Hen" by Byron Barton. A little red hen grows grain, threshes wheat, bakes bread and feeds her chicks - all by herself without any help from her lazy friends. There are take and make crafts and seed packets for the children at the end of the story.
Each Story Stroll begins along the Greenway Trail in Lisbon beyond the '0' mile marker and ends with a take and make craft. It will then move to the northwest quadrant of the Lisbon Square and finally to the Lisbon Pool.

New this year: scan the QR code located at the end of the Story Stroll to let the library know how many people read and enjoyed the stroll.
The library was able to provide the Story Stroll with the support of the Columbiana County Park District and the Village of Lisbon. This year's Story Stroll was made possible through a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
