Knox Township Festival planned for this Saturday

NORTH GEORGETOWN - The Homeworth Community Group will once again host the Knox Township Festival Saturday. The event will be held at the North Georgetown Community Pavilion, located at North Georgetown Fire Department, from noon to 10 p.m.
Opening ceremony is at noon with George D. Worth Color Guard, North Georgetown Post 574 and the raising of the American flag. Dave Scott of Homeworth will sing the National Anthem and Pam Miller will lead in prayer. Background Bluegrass Music will be playing all day courtesy of Kerry Varble.
This year's car show has over 50 vintage and classic cars expected. The car show will be a must see from noon until 3 p.m. The Garden Tractor Pull starts at noon. Back by popular demand is the famous Pedal Tractor Pull which will begin at 4 p.m.
The Baby Contest starts at 3 p.m. in front of the Band Stage. Those who pre-registered need to check in by 2:15 p.m. Deadline to enter online has been extended to July 20. This year is loaded with fun for the children with more bounce houses along with an obstacle course and carnival games. Enjoy a train ride around the park or test skills at the Mini Golf Hole.
Food vendors with festival food and drinks of all kinds will be available. The Dunk Tank will also be available all day.
There will be a gun raffle with 1,000 tickets, and will be available at the ticket table until all are sold. Stop by the Homeworth Community Group table for ice cream to eat while checking out the Antique Hit and Miss Engines.
Play and eat all day and stay for the Music Show with the first band, Leather and Lace, starting off at 7 p.m. The Burning Blue Band, back by popular demand, will end the festival playing from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
The Homeworth Community Group would like to thank the North Georgetown Fire Department along with countless others who helped to make this event happen for the good folks in Knox Township and surrounding areas.
