Annual Iden-Iler memorial fundraiser breakfast and trap shoot

SALEM - Approximately 175 people attended the annual Iden-Iler memorial fundraiser breakfast and trap shoot Aug. 5.

Students selected as this year's recipients and presented with scholarship awards include: Kacie Honeywell, daughter of Dave and Vicki Honeywell; Von Herron, son of Jay and Pam Herron; Emily Barroni, daughter of Jeff and Stephanie Barroni; and Elena Struzewski, daughter of Richard and Erika Struzewski.

The Salem Hunting Club honors the memory of past SHC Presidents Lowell Iden and Larry Iller by presenting college scholarships to area students who are selected. The memorial scholarship fund, now in its 20th year, was established to commemorate their encouragement of local youth to participate in shooting sports, especially trap shooting.

All proceeds from the annual event go toward the scholarship fund. Students are selected by committee every year. The number of scholarships awarded depend on the number of entrants and their qualifications.

To enter a student for next year's scholarship selection, applications and rules can be found on the Salem Hunting Club website: www.salemhuntingclub.com.
