FRANKLIN SQUARE--Salem Township trustees approved the purchase of parts for one for the township's tractors in its meeting Tuesday.
In a brief meeting which saw no new or unfinished business save for the approval of the township's monthly bank reconciliation and cash summary by fund report, Roads Foreman Jason Entrikin requested a purchase order for a new drive shaft for the township's mowing tractor. The drive shaft costs $325 from Broadway Services in Girard and trustees unanimously approved the purchase.
Trustee Bill Heston also thanked Entrikin for the township's work at this year's Columbiana County Fair.
Trustees will be meeting earlier than usual for their next regular meeting to conduct township employee evaluations, which are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 29.
