'Fear Not' Men's Revival
Men of Faith, the producers of the Men's Rally in the Valley, has announced the 7th Men's Revival in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, Sept. 23. Men of Faith have arranged for free transportation to the event at French Creek Valley Christian School, 420 North St., Saegertown, leaving from the Upper Room Fellowship parking lot in Columbiana at 6 a.m., with a return time of approximately 3 p.m.. Cost is $10 per person. The Men of Grace Allegheny Region meet regularly on a monthly basis for breakfast. Inspired by the Rally in the Valley, the Men's Revival was birthed seven years ago.
This year's theme is "Fear Not" (Luke 2:10) which states "I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." Speaking this year are two outdoorsmen, Brian Kightlinger, author of "20 Feet Closer to God," from Venango, Pennsylvania, and Steve Chapman, singer and author of "A Look at Life from a Deer Stand," from Nashville, Tennessee. Columbiana County Auditor's sale
The 2023 Columbiana County Auditor's sale will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 in the Columbiana County Commissioner's meeting room on the first floor of the county court house at 105 S. Market St., Lisbon. The listing of the properties, along with the rules and regulations, is available at http://oh-columbiana-auditor.publicaccessnow.com/. They have also been listed in the Sept. 14 edition of the Morning Journal newspaper under the 'Legals" section of the classifieds. Lists, pictures and maps may be viewed at the County Auditor's Office on the first floor of the courthouse. Buyers are warned that it is their responsibility to do any research on the forfeited properties prior to the sale and to be aware of exactly what they are buying.
Explore careers at local businesses
OSU Extension (4-H Youth Development) is offering a program for all county youth ages 8 to 18 to explore careers at local businesses. Sept. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. youth can visit Kast Iron Soda Works in Salem to tour the business and learn about entrepreneurship; and Oct. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. youth can visit Woolf Farms in Salem to take a farm tour and learn about agriculture in the community and careers around agriculutre. Community breakfast
Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima will host a community breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Cost is by donation, with proceeds benefiting church mission projects. All are welcome.
After school tutoring
The Columbiana Public Library will host after school tutoring from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, starting Sept. 18. Register on the website or call to make an appointment for free tutoring for K-12 students.
