LISBON -- Stage Left Youth Players will audition youth in grades kindergarten through eighth for "Snap the Whip" from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 30 and 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 2.
The Winslow Homer painting inspired playwrights and directors Kandy Cleland and Jodine Pilmer to create a story of 1850s Ohio when children playfully scattered across a meadow in summer heat, gathered apples during fall harvest, battled winter storms and sickness, and rejoiced in a spring thaw.
Cleland and Pilmer seek a cast of 24 to 32 to play the children and young teens who will take the stage Nov. 10-19 at the Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way in Lisbon. Interested youth should visit StageLeftPlayers.org/about-1 to access the online audition form, lines for memorization, and see more information about the show. Additional questions can be directed to StageLeftSeats@gmail.com or call 724-426-1955.
