NORTH GEORGETOWN - The West Branch Area Ladies Ruritan Club met Oct. 16.
Joann Pinkerton introduced Aaron Pace from Brookdale Senior Living in Salem. They have accommodations for 45 residents. Assessments help them know what residents need and there are many activities for all the residents.
President Bev Yaggi welcomed everyone. Viola Blanchard led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance, singing "God Bless America" and a devotion.
Sandy Bates read the minutes and Mary Belle Metzgar read the treasurer's report.
The group lost a member - Evelyn Yaggi. She was a great supporter with baking and sewing skills.
The Ruritan Fall Convention is Nov. 18 at the Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville.
Dec. 11 will be the club's Christmas and 30th anniversary dinner at Homeworth Presbyterian Church.
The officers for 2024 will be Robin Mahyers, president; Pinkerton, vice president; Bates, secretary; Jean Zion, treasurer.
Books have been ordered for third grade students at West Branch local schools.
Hostesses were Pinkerton and Mahyers.
