Historical society to host interactive ‘Citizens of Columbiana Cemetery’ tour

COLUMBIANA -- The Historical Society of Columbiana and Fairfield Township will be hosting "Citizens of Columbiana Cemetery Tour, Part 2" from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 at Birdfish Brewing and Columbiana Cemetery. A hayride provided by Catalpa Grove Farms will begin at Birdfish Brewing and take participants to the start of the tour at the Firestone Memorial in the Columbiana Cemetery. The walking tour path will be lit by luminaries and participants will hear from members portraying notable citizens from Columbiana's past.
The tour ends at the 1890 Stick Chapel where a hayride will take participants back to Birdfish Brewing. Parking will also be available in Firestone Park for those not taking the hayride. Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 and can be purchased at https://www.birdfishbrew.com/tickets/fix-the-sticks-citizens-of-columbiana-cemetery-tour. Tickets are limited. The Historical Society will also be sponsoring a gift card and a 50/50 raffle and will be selling limited edition T-shirts from Rat Creative. Birdfish will donate $1 of every pour.
All proceeds benefit the "Fix the Sticks" project, a collaboration between the Historical Society and the city of Columbiana to restore the 1890 Stick Style Architectural Chapel.
