SALEM -- Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) will present "Understanding the Journey: Women & Cancer," a free community seminar featuring area physicians and clinician speakers with expertise in women's health and cancer management.
Speakers and topics include:
• Family Medicine Physician Dr. Joseph Miladore: "Understanding the Basics"
• Radiologist Dr. Peter Apicella: "Tools for Fighting & Finding Cancer"
• Oncologist Dr. Igor Genkin: "A Guide To Treatment - Part 1"
• Plastic Surgeon Dr. Linda Camp: "A Guide To Treatment - Part 2"
• Mandy Corvino, NP: "Survivorship Along The Journey"
The seminar will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. Nov. 8 in the Tower Conference Room, located on the ground floor at SRMC. Guests are invited to enjoy an informative evening while networking with experts in the field of cancer. Attendees will also be eligible to enter a drawing for a free 3D mammogram.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., with educational materials, giveaway items and light refreshments. The presentations will start at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required to attend the event. To register, call 330-332-7439.
