Community breakfast

Mt. Olivet UCC Church, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will host its community breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Nov. 25. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, muffins and cinnamon rolls for a donation. Proceeds benefit church mission projects.

Sirloin tip and noodle drive thru

East Palestine Eagles will hold their monthly sirloin tip and noodle drive thru from 4 to 6 p.m. or sold out Wednesday. Dinner is sirloin tip and noodles, coleslaw, roll and dessert for $11 or $10 if over 65 years of age. Call 330-853-8483 to reserve meals.

Brightside Project Collection Drive

Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is hosting a collection to gather winter hats, gloves, and socks, as part of The Brightside Project's Collection Drive. SRMC will have a community drop-off box inside the front doors of the main lobby on the ground floor, in the parking garage entrance, and in the cafeteria. Donated items can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday Nov. 27 to Dec. 8. All donated items will be distributed to children 16 and under in Columbiana County. Nothing Bundt Cakes

Nothing Bundt Cakes will be at Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Friday selling Bundt cake bundtlets. Bundtlets will be on sale for $6 each while supplies last, with 20% of the proceeds going to the SRMC Foundation. A variety of flavors will be offered. Cash, credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay will be accepted. Pre-order forms are available in the Look Nook Gift Shop through Wednesday. The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main lobby on the ground floor at SRMC. For information call 330-337-2883.

P.E.R.I. meeting

The Public Employee Retirees (P.E.R.I.) of Mahoning County Chapter 18, will meet Dec. 5 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road. Lunch will be served at noon at a cost of $15 per person. Guest speaker will be John Muckridge III from the Mahoning Valley Rescue Mission. PERI is the only association that is focused exclusively on OPERS pension and benefits with a full-time lobbyist at the statehouse on behalf of OPERS recipients. Trees and Trains Holiday event

The Salem Trees and Trains Holiday event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19. Visit the train display at Naragon Law Office, 248 E. State St, Salem (enter at the back door on Sugar Tree Alley) and the holiday trees at the Burchfield Homestead, 867 E. 4th St, Salem. A $3 donation covers both venues, children under 10 are free. The Burchfield Homestead Holiday event will continue from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays Nov. 25 to Dec. 23. Visit the Homestead at 867 E. 4th St., Salem, to view spectacularly decorated holiday trees, each inspired by a Burchfield painting. All proceeds benefit the Burchfield Homestead Society. EP Annual Christmas Parade

The East Palestine Annual Christmas Parade sponsored by the East Palestine Moose Lodge #467 will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 2. The theme for this year's Christmas parade is Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. For information contact Doug at 330-426-3510.

EP Amateur Radio Club party

EAST PALESTINE -- The East Palestine Amateur Radio Club will hold its Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Sportsmans Club with a potluck dinner followed by a short meeting. Nominations for officers for 2024 will be held.

During the November meeting, ideas for projects in 2024 were kit bashing, POTA (Parks on the Air) and having members upgrade to Extra Class by the end of 2024 if not already an Extra Class.
