'Deck the Halls!!'
The First Methodist Church of Salem, 244 S. Broadway Ave., Salem, on Friday will present "Deck the Halls!!," teaching preschool and elementary children about the story of Christmas with games, treats and fun. Doors are open from 5 to 7 p.m. in an open house format. Families are welcome to enjoy the evening of Christmas spirit.
No Banquet in Salem
There will be no Banquet in Salem Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 due to the holidays. The next Banquet in Salem will be held Dec. 28 from 5 p.m. until the food is gone at the Salem Memorial Building. The sponsor will be Daren Odey and the menu will include fried chicken, diced potatoes with onions and peppers, corn, cole slaw, fresh vegetables and fruit and pudding. The meal is dine in or drive thru. Dine in will park in designated area and proceed to front door. Drive thru will line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. 'Come Let Us Adore'
The Hanoverton/Bethesda Presbyterian Church Choir will present "Come Let Us Adore" Cantata, arranged by Russell Mauldin, Sunday during morning worship at 10 a.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight service with communion will be that evening at 6 p.m. Both services will be at Bethesda Church. All are invited.
