community fundraiser
Bob Evans Restaurants will host a community fundraiser in memory of Frederick Nelder to assist with funeral costs from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Salem location, 2299 E. State St.. P.E.R.I. of Mahoning County meeting
The Public Employee Retirees (P.E.R.I.) of Mahoning County Chapter 18, will meet Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road at noon. Cost is $16 (NOTE PRICE INCREASE).

Anyone with dietary restrictions should advise the person taking their reservation. PERI is focused on OPERS pension and benefits with a full-time lobbyist at the statehouse on behalf of OPERS recipients. Rodman Public Library to host Winter Workout
Designed to help participants get moving while it's cold outside, Winter Workout is planned at Rodman Public Library on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. As cabin fever starts to set in, children ages 3-12 and caregivers will move to stories and songs in this action storytime. Learn to play TCGs
and Dungeon & Dragons
Rodman Public Library will host a Magic, Pokemon, and Dungeons & Dragons Learn to Play Day from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23. A representative from Fandemonia, a hobby store in Alliance, will be on hand to teach participants, ages 10 to 18, how to play the popular card games. Experienced players are also invited to bring their cards and play with others. Door prizes will be handed out. Teen Think Tank
at Rodman Library
Teen Think Tank is set for Tuesday, Jan. 16 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Main Rodman Library conference room. Teens, ages 12-18, who want to help shape teen programming and the teen collection of materials are welcome to join. The third Tuesday of each month will be Think Tank Tuesdays. Hours spent attending Teen Think Tank meetings and helping with projects count as volunteer hours. For information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 217.
Rodman Public Library free-for-all maker Monday
Maker Monday crafters will have the opportunity to create whatever they like when they meet Monday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. in Rodman Public Library's Main Auditorium. For this free-for-all Maker Monday, materials left over from previous crafts will be available for patrons to use as they design and create one project however they wish. Maker Monday is an in-person craft program for adults that is held monthly on select Mondays. All materials are provided free of charge, thanks to Friends of Rodman Library, but space is limited and registration is required for each session.
