Community breakfast

Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will host a community breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Jan. 27. The meal will include eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, waffles and muffins by donation. Proceeds benefit church mission projects.

'The Little Prince'

Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland will continue its 2023-2024 Clearview Federal Credit Union Subscription Series, Larger Than Life! with "The Little Prince" in the BlackBox Theater Feb. 9 to the 11, and 15 to the 18. Adapted by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar from the heartfelt and enchanting book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, this story follows The Little Prince on his great journey through the galaxy, talking to everyone he meets, including a garden of roses, a snake, and a fox who wishes to be tamed. From each he gains a unique insight which he shares with the Aviator, a visitor to his colorful world. Aromatherapy presentation

Janet Agueda, certified aromatherapist and owner of Making Scents Studio, will lead an Aromatherapy presentation and hands-on oil blending workshop from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29 in the Salem Public Library's Quaker Room. Everyone will leave with a Cold Relief blend. Birdseed ornaments

Go Wild in the Park programming presents Birdseed Ornaments at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the Salem Public Library's Quaker Room. Learn about why it's important to supplement the local avian population with birdseed ornaments in winter while creating one. This program is appropriate for all ages. Owls of Ohio

Beavercreek Wildlife Center Director Dennis Imhoff will return to the Salem Public Library from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 to teach about the owls of Ohio. His extensive display of taxidermy owls combined with his excitement and knowledge of local owls will leave guests excited to spot their next owl. Meals on Wheels soup sale

The Columbiana Meals on Wheels will be having a soup sale Feb. 10, pre-orders only. Curb pick up will be at 11 N. Main St., Columbiana, from 10 a.m. to noon. The deadline to order soup will be Feb. 3. Soups available are chicken noodle, vegetarian vegetable, chili and stuffed pepper for $8 a quart. Call 330-482-0366 to place an order.
