Burchfield Trace Alley opening

The City of Salem will be having a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the official opening of the upgraded Burchfield Trace Alley. The decorative archways, bistro lighting, directional lighting and music sound system will make this an inviting gateway from the municipal parking lot entrance behind Ezio's Restaurant to Broadway Avenue. Mayor Cyndi Dickey will be doing the ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Broadway entrance of Burchfield Trace Alley, next to Ezio's Restaurant & Zeigler's Trophy's shop. The public is welcome to attend.

EP Eagles wine tasting event

EP Eagles #1506 is having a wine tasting event from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday. Cost is $12 which includes five tasting samples of wine and two appetizers. McKim's wine will be on site and pouring for this event. DJ/Karaoke Mike Johnston will be playing. Guests can purchase additional wine tastes for $1 or appetizers are two for $3. No advance tickets; pay at the door.
